Good news indeed and so glad they are utilizing an old building instead of building a new place out in Southridge or Cross Lanes. I see a bright future ahead for the East End. I am still amazed at the collection of restaurants that have developed near the Capital in such a short period of time. I plan to definitely hit up Bluegrass Kitchen when I am visiting my folks over for the Holidays.
Bluegrass Kitchen is great! I miss all of the great restaurants in Charleston and on the East End (doing college in Tampa) and most of all Leonoro's!
Is that the Power Alley Grill? Kinda looks like it.
Yes. The Power Alley Grill closed a while back and Quaker Steak & Lube was a temporary replacement. But this new restaurant will be a great adddition to the ballpark.
That Target was pretty embarrassing, especially after experiencing the new Target in East Liberty in Pittsburgh (parking underneath with the store on top with so many urban accouterments). I'm glad to see another coffee option up there, though I'm more of a fan of local joints like Moxxee.
There are some good local restaurants in Charleston but the city does not have an abundance of great local establishments. I agree that many chains have bad food, but not all of them.
