That pair of Nike tennis shoes still costs $100 like it did when they were made here. The difference is now the Nike company gets it made for $10 rather than $25. The quality is not as good, but since the competition has dumped quality in favor of cheap labor they can get away with it.
Illegal aliens are not going anywhere because, again, big business needs them to increase the bottom line. I am not against immigration, and am in favor of letting skilled/honest people in, but our current system is the worst of both worlds. We attract a lot of useless people who dont contribute or improve our society and pay benefits to them, while getting no tax revenue from them.

I am not anti-immigrant, and feel the US has gotten to hard to immigrate to, for the right people.

The solution is make it easier for skills where there is a shortage to immigrate here, conduct better background checks of prospective immigrants, deport the deadbeat ones, and really penalize people who hire illegal immigrants.

Right now this system of letting in illegal immigrants, keeping them illegal, and making sure they get work is supported by both the government and big business. Why? The man on top makes more. Who cares if the middle and lower class get screwed. They sure dont.

This country is actually moving to lower wages, and decrease benefits of workers. If people could get away with child labor they would. It is all about the money in the end.

Charleston Gazette-Mail | Gestamp’s South Charleston plant a smash hit

Gestamp has been a huge success since moving into South Charleston's ordinance center. The area is pleased with their decision, and it looks as if the company is pleased with it as well!

This was the only thread that I could find that seemed focused on the Ordinance Center in South Charleston.

Today, they tore down the water tower on the west end of the Gestamp facility. It's been a landmark in this area for as long as I can remember (and I'm old). Apparently, it was rusting and becoming a safety hazard. If it had fallen on the road, it would have been a big problem for access to UPS.
