I was just reading this. I'm really happy to see this. I far prefer to attend a Power game than make a trip to see overpriced MLB.
I really hope this works out well for them.
Power games are always a fun time, with a great atmosphere. The city needed some positive news, but now the locals really need to rally behind them. For this to work, they will need fans to come often and for the marketing campaign to be on par or better with what it has been under the Pirates organization.
Great news! Hopefully, this will be supported sufficiently that Charleston will be looked at for a possible affiliation in the future. Note: after reading the full article, this independent league might be better than minor league affiliation with the flexibility it offers owners and staff.
I go all the way back to the Charlies and Senators and was bummed about the possibility of baseball leaving Charleston.

Was very excited to read about this- Did not want Power Park to become basically a high school or UC ballfield as it is such a great minor league ballpark.
I like it! Short, catchy and a recognized brand in the state.
It's certainly not horrible, but I think that Gomart is a low quality chain throughout WV. They are almost a microcosm of the state. Most of them are old and dated facilities, while the new ones are bland and generic.
I liked the name Power Park, which sounded "powerful".
