Cross posted to Milwaukee

Hello, hoping you might have an affordable solution I didn’t think of.we live in Milwaukee. Work travel will have me flying out of Chicago throughout the year. I will be gone for 2-3 weeks at a time. I may be flying out really early or arriving really late. So I may miss the Amtrak or Coach buses to Milwaukee. I wish I could just keep my car near Ohare but It’s realistically about 40 weeks a year. And I can’t afford more than $150 a month. Are there any 24/7 car storage solutions near the airports (there seems like storage places keep specific hours not 24/7? Or other ways to travel very early or late)? Thanks!

Any reason you can't fly from MKE to wherever you are going or MKE/ORD to connect to wherever you are going? UA and AA between them have 10 or so flights between MKE and ORD throughout the day. MKE/ORD as early as 5:15 AM and ORD/MKE as late as 9:35 PM.

Also, Amtrak does not have a station at ORD. You would have to find your way downtown to Union Station or get to Glenview Station.

As for driving and parking, the only thing I can think of for the kind of price you are looking for is that some hotels around ORD used to have reasonable plans where if you stayed there one night, you could leave your car in their lot for some period of time. I am not sure what they charge or even if hotels are still doing that. Some people had been parking their cars on the streets in residential neighborhoods near ORD and taking a taxi or Uber from there to the airport but some of those towns enacted laws to ticket and tow the cars of those who do that sort of thing. So probably no longer a viable option.

Thank you. Trying to fly from Chicago because it’s much cheaper sometimes and that will add up given how often I have to fly.

$150/month is exceptionally low. Are you open to sharing the car on a platform like Avail in exchange for storage?
