This might not be the correct forum, but I am trying to find out what year the USS Wisconsin made a stop in
Corpus Christi? I believe it was on the 4th of July in the early 80's, does anyone remember? I toured the ship that day and bought a T-shirt that I just found today..... It's in awesome shape and it still fits!

Thanks, Rick

I guess I should have stated a purpose for the question, I was in my 20's then and had to work every other Saturday, my off weekends were spent for 12 years in the coastal bend surf fishing and other mostly land fishing, being a WW2 amateur historian ( Grew up as a young teen living at the mouth of Pearl Harbor) I'm trying to date the shirt.

I have since been back to Pearl (Married in 2001 and honeymooned there) and boarded the USS Missouri, then to San Pedro in 2008 for my cousins wedding were we boarded the USS Iowa. My wife and I are planning and east coast trip this summer with a stop in New York, I will make sure we hit Camden NJ to see the USS New Jersey... She does not know yet...lol

That will complete my Iowa class visits..

Rick

You might check the USN historical site. They have a lot of information there about historical ship deployments and port visits etc. Ship Cruise Books as well. It may take some work to research but there is a good chance your answer is there.
