We had neighbors who had 2 Macaws. A red one and a blue one. Sometimes, on pretty days, the neighbors would have the macaws in a big cage in their back yard.

Those birds learned my mother's voice, and would sometimes call us home. We'd go home, only to find out it was the parrots calling us home. It could get annoying. lol

My elderly friend often cared for a budgie that did this. The owners obviously left a radio on for the bird when all the humans were at work, school, etc. The little guy would chatter away like a radio to himself, most of it unintelligible. Then suddenly he'd utter a word, phrase, or part of a jingle as clear as a bell (something like "discount on Uniroyal tires") ONCE and never repeat it again. Everyone in the room would turn and stare at him not sure if they'd really heard it. It was bizarre.
