Another Pagan practice I like is of observing Brigid's Day by planning gardens/gathering seed. One Pagan friend I once knew online would sweep out her garden shed on that day as a ritual.

What is St. Brigid's day? Was it co-opted my Christians? Is it similar to Imbolc?

I am attending an Imbolc get together. It sounds interesting.

Yes, the Celtic goddess Brigid became St. Brigid under Christianity.

I am attending an Imbolc gathering tomorrow. I follow the wheel of the year. I am interested in all of these things, and I believe that I was born a witch through linage.

Every year I go to Lily Dale at least twice. Although it's a Spiritualist community, many pagans frequent Lily Dale.

Does anyone do anything special for Imbolc?

Also, I think Candlemas is mentioned in the Book of Common Prayer. Candlemas equates to Imbolc.

Yes, I did know that. I knew the in-between holidays from when I was very young and discovered I was born on Lammas.

I have in the past but haven't in a long time-I would turn on every light in the house (for a minute or two) and I would go outside and draw a sun in the snow.

Bringing spring into the home, I have willow catkins from one of my willow trees in a vase with water which sprouted roots and new fresh greenery. I have some spring houseplants in bloom hyacinths, narcis and mini grape hyacinths on the table.
Today I did a floorwash with lime infused water for a spring cleansing. Evening I do some incense and a few candles.
Some narcis/daffodils are in bloom in the garden and in pots on the patio area. My snowdrops finished blooming this week.
When the weather gets warmer the willow stems get planted in pots for the patio.
