I am here in Vancouver for a few days and then on to Alaska on cruise. I am surprised about how warm and clear it is. I come from the San Francisco Bay Area which is shrouded in fog all winter (never getting higher than 20 c) and I thought there would be lower temps and fog but it is shorts and tshirt weather.
What you're seeing right now is typical summer weather in pretty much all of British Columbia. Come back to the west coast in the winter and what you'd typically see is precipitation. Both of those types of weather are a blessing that none of us can take for granted.
The overall climate is most definitely changing though so there's no telling what typical BC weather conditions will be like in the future.
