OH, you would be jealous of me if you saw where I went last week. It was an annual rock/crystal/gem show. I got a piece of blue lace agate from Nambia, some fluorine from China for my daughter, a "Herkimer diamond" from upstate New York, a piece of flint from Dover, England, and a larimar ring from the Dominican Republic. Also got a fossilized tooth of a Mosasaur (ancient marine reptile) from Morocco that I bought for the person at whose home I was staying.
How did you transport this? What sort of container did you use?
Much to my disappointment, the Resin-sculpture of the Palmistry-Hand is sold out online. As I mentioned earlier, it's a Resin sculpture of a human hand with the designated lines of Palm-reading. As a long time palmistry student,I so wanted that sculpture.
Do any of you go to an occult supply shop on a regular basis? I used to go to one locally but the shop discontinued several years ago. When I used to frequent it I used to go mostly for a special candle which the lady made herself. The candle spells seemed to work and I felt I got my money's worth. No it's not that the candle goes everything for me. Because in order to achieve my goal I still have to make efforts myself.
So who of you go to occult shops? And how do you spend your time there?
This caught my eye because I actually visited one today. The Hidden Path in Struthers OH. I bought sage and some crystals.

Back in 2013, we took a cross-country trip in our camper van. One campsite we stayed at had sage growing near our site. I picked some. The people in the camper next to us asked if I was picking sage. Yup. There were places where sage was growing along the side of the road. We pulled over and I picked some. The van smelled GREAT for the rest of the trip.
When my mother-in-law died 28 years ago, my sisters-in-law gave me a few things that had belonged to her, one of which is a Waterford crystal ashtray. It's beautiful, round, pattern cut into the exterior rim and bottom.
It was too nice to grind cigarettes into when I still smoked, so I just carted it with me whenever I moved and kept it in a cabinet or a drawer somewhere.
Recently I came across it, and thought, "I could burn my sage in that!. So now I do.
Let me know how it is, Hannah! Just checked, and it's about an hour for me when I'm home.
Well.... it's in a historic (Thomas Paine and other Revolutionary luminaries) small town that has a quaint downtown about 5 blocks long. I will be back to support the independent bookstore and record store, a couple of art galleries; a creative yarn shop since my DIL does needlepoint and a few others but....
....the store is very small, so there's only enough space to carry a few key items. Oils, incense, pretty good variety of stones, some clothing and jewelry and a few books (wide range of spells) and a couple of tarot decks. It is also VERY wicca/witchcraft oriented which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but because that's where the focus is, that's mostly what kind of merchandise they carry. I really liked the woman who runs it and there was another crone browsing with whom I had a brief conversation about whether or not we were afraid of dying. (I'm not, she is.) Owner recommended a book to her she didn't carry. It was a fun visit.
MQ, not sure sure it's worth the trip since you have Earth Spirit practically in your back yard. But if you had an afternoon to spare, there are a couple of fun looking places to eat and I think you might enjoy the other stores, too. I wouldn't make a special trip though .
